Mazda MAZDA6 vs. Volvo V50 Review

Neither the Mazda MAZDA6 nor the V50 has a marked advantage with respect to seating capacity.

Dimensions
The Volvo V50 is a bit heavier than the Mazda MAZDA6. The Volvo V50's tank is about the same size as the Mazda MAZDA6's, though the Mazda MAZDA6's is a bit more capacious. The Volvo V50 and the Mazda MAZDA6 compete for the same parking spaces.

Convenience
You very likely won't have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the Volvo V50 than with the Mazda, as both offer comparable ranges.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The Mazda MAZDA6 is substantially cheaper to get to the dealership than the Volvo V50. Producing a precise gas mileage evaluation is so hard that some think not even the federal government can do it, but it looks as though both the Volvo V50 and the Volvo V50 perform about similarly as far as fuel economy. The Mazda MAZDA6 doesn't pale in comparison to the Volvo with respect to gas mileage. The Volvo V50 is significantly more expensive than the Mazda MAZDA6 when it comes to MSRP.

Handling
The MAZDA6 and the Volvo V50 have about comparable tires. With its tighter turning radius, the Volvo V50 is quite certainly more maneuverable than the Mazda, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; on the other hand, note that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The Mazda MAZDA6's engine is significantly larger than the Volvo V50's. Note that more massive engines may use more gas than smaller ones. The Mazda MAZDA6 could learn a lesson or two from the Volvo V50 in terms of pickup.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Volvo V50 offers a bit more head room than the Mazda MAZDA6, there really isn't much of a difference. The ampler interior dimensions of the Mazda MAZDA6 make it markedly more spacious for your passengers than the Volvo V50.
