Mazda MAZDA6 vs. Nissan 350Z Review

Performance
As far as horsepower, the Nissan 350Z packs quite a punch and will knock the Mazda MAZDA6 down a few rungs. On the other hand, note that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Handling
The Mazda MAZDA6's front-wheel drive layout likely gives it better traction in rain, snow or ice than the Nissan; on the other hand, the Nissan's rear-wheel drive layout likely provides better dry traction. The Nissan 350Z has markedly wider tires than the Mazda MAZDA6. Note that bigger tires can improve handling, while narrower tires might improve gas mileage. With its tighter turning circle, the Nissan 350Z is quite certainly more maneuverable than the Mazda, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; however, note that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The 350Z has a larger engine than the Mazda. Note that smaller engines are often cheaper to fix, but a smaller engine usually has to work a little harder. The Mazda MAZDA6 could learn a lesson or two from the Nissan 350Z as far as pickup. Torque is the force that lets you accelerate quickly, and in this respect, the Nissan 350Z is significantly more powerful than the Mazda.

Utility
The Mazda MAZDA6's more sizeable trunk will accommodate more big items than the 350Z. The Mazda MAZDA6 will most definitely prove more practical than the 350Z for those of you with frequent child-cargo.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Mazda MAZDA6 offers a bit more head room than the Nissan 350Z, there honestly isn't much of a difference.

Dimensions
The Mazda MAZDA6 is slightly more ponderous than the Nissan 350Z. The MAZDA6's tank is about the same size as the Nissan 350Z's, though the Nissan 350Z's is a little larger. The 350Z and the Mazda MAZDA6 compete for the same parking spaces.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs approximately the same to get the Mazda MAZDA6 to the dealership as the Nissan 350Z. When it comes to MSRP, the MAZDA6 costs tremendously less than the Nissan 350Z.

Overview
The Nissan and the Mazda have the same basic warranty.
