Mazda MAZDA6 vs. Hyundai Sonata Review

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs almost the same to get the Hyundai Sonata to the dealership as the Mazda MAZDA6. As far as MSRP, the Hyundai Sonata costs roughly as much as the Mazda MAZDA6 (though the Mazda MAZDA6 is a tad cheaper).

Utility
Neither the Hyundai nor the MAZDA6 has a marked advantage when it comes to seating capacity.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Hyundai Sonata offers a bit more head room than the Mazda MAZDA6, there honestly isn't much of a difference. While the rear of the Hyundai offers a bit more head- and leg-room than the Mazda MAZDA6, there frankly isn't much of a difference.

Dimensions
The Sonata's tank is almost the same size as the Mazda MAZDA6's, though the Mazda MAZDA6's is a bit larger. The Hyundai Sonata and the Mazda MAZDA6 compete for the same parking spaces.

Performance
In terms of horsepower, the Hyundai packs quite a punch and will knock the Mazda MAZDA6 down a few rungs. However, keep in mind that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Handling
With their comparable turning radii, the Mazda and the Hyundai Sonata most definitely handle roughly the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Hyundai Sonata's engine is a little smaller than the Mazda MAZDA6's, but not terribly so. The MAZDA6 has no lessons to learn when it comes to torque from the Hyundai Sonata.

Warranty
The basic warranty that comes with the Mazda MAZDA6 isn't quite as generous as the Sonata's.
