While the front cabin in the Elantra offers a bit more head room than the Mazda MAZDA6, there really isn't much of a difference. The ampler interior dimensions of the Mazda MAZDA6 make it significantly roomier for your passengers than the Hyundai Elantra.

Dimensions
The Mazda is tremendously heavier than the Hyundai Elantra. Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Mazda MAZDA6 than the Hyundai Elantra because of its bigger tank. The Hyundai Elantra and the Mazda MAZDA6 compete for the same parking spaces.

Handling
With their similar turning circles, the Hyundai Elantra and the Mazda definitely handle about the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The MAZDA6 has a bigger engine than the Hyundai Elantra. Note that smaller engines are often cheaper to fix, but smaller engines can be stressed more. The Hyundai Elantra could learn a lesson or two from the MAZDA6 when it comes to torque. Torque equals pickup, and the MAZDA6 will have picked up and gone by the time the Elantra finally gets moving.

Warranty
The basic after-sale protection that comes with the MAZDA6 isn't quite as generous as the Hyundai's.
