Mazda MAZDA6 vs. Dodge Caliber Review

Cost
The Mazda MAZDA6 will tax your gasoline budget substantially more than the Dodge Caliber will. The Dodge Caliber doesn't pale in comparison to the Mazda as far as fuel economy. Regarding MSRP, the Caliber costs considerably less than the Mazda MAZDA6.

Utility
Neither the MAZDA6 nor the Dodge Caliber has a marked advantage as far as seating capacity.

Convenience
You will doubtless have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the Caliber than with the Mazda.

Comfort
Taller drivers will considerably enjoy the extra head room in the Dodge Caliber's front cabin compared to the Mazda MAZDA6. While the rear of the Mazda MAZDA6 provides a bit more head- and leg-room than the Dodge Caliber, there frankly isn't much of a difference.

Dimensions
The Mazda MAZDA6 is somewhat heavier than the Dodge. Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the MAZDA6 than the Dodge Caliber because of its larger tank. The Dodge rides lower than the Mazda MAZDA6, which is a good thing for its center of gravity and ease of access. The Caliber and the Mazda MAZDA6 compete for the same parking spaces.

Drivetrain
The Mazda MAZDA6 has a larger engine than the Dodge Caliber. Note that smaller engines typically get better gas mileage, but a smaller engine usually has to work a little harder. The Caliber could learn a lesson or two from the Mazda MAZDA6 as far as torque.
