The Chevrolet Malibu and the Mazda MAZDA6 can accommodate the same number of passengers.

Comfort
While the rear of the Mazda MAZDA6 provides a bit more head- and leg-room than the Chevrolet, there honestly isn't much of a difference.

Dimensions
Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Mazda than the Chevrolet because of its larger tank. The Chevrolet Malibu and the MAZDA6 compete for the same parking spaces.

Performance
Regarding horsepower, the Chevrolet Malibu packs quite a wallop and will knock the MAZDA6 down a few rungs. However, keep in mind that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Handling
With its tighter turning circle, the MAZDA6 is most certainly sprier than the Chevrolet Malibu, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; on the other hand, note that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The Mazda MAZDA6's engine isn't much bigger than the Chevrolet Malibu's. Torque is roughly equivalent to acceleration, and in this respect, the Mazda MAZDA6 isn't much more powerful than the Chevrolet.
