2010 Mazda MAZDA6 Overview
The 2010 Mazda Mazda6 is a sharp looking, sharp driving, technologically advanced midsize sedan from the doctors of Zoom Zoom.
Under the beautifully creased hood of the 2010 Mazda Mazda6 is a 170-horsepower, 2.4-liter inline-four connected to a five-speed manually shiftable automatic, or a six-speed manual. A 272-horsepower, 3.7-liter V-6 is available with a six-speed shiftable automatic for even sportier performance, as you rip through each one of those six gears. Fuel economy ranges from 17-21 in the city and 25-30 on the highway. That makes for better V-6 fuel economy than the Ford Fusion and overall fuel economy competitive with the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord.
The 2010 Mazda6 boasts a spacious 16.6 cubic-foot trunk that offers more cargo room than the competition, plus copious amounts of front and rear legroom. On the i Sport model, cloth seats hold five occupants and remote power door locks keep everything secure.
Leather wrappings for the steering wheel and shift knob provide visual stimulus; air conditioning provides thermal comfort; a CD player and Sirius Satellite Radio team up to provide acoustic pleasures. The i Touring model enhances the Mazda6 with a power-adjustable driver’s seat and a 6-CD changer, while the i Touring Plus adds a power sunroof. The Grand Touring model includes leather seats with heat and power adjustment up front, dual zone climate control and a booming Bose audio system, while a navigation system is optional.
Front, front-side, and two-row head airbags cushion all outboard occupants. A well engineered chassis and body structure combines with the full airbag offering to deliver Five-Star government crash-test ratings across the board. Antilock brakes and traction and stability control systems keep the driver in safe in most evasive maneuvering. A blind spot warning system, which comes standard on the Grand Touring, further enhances the driver’s ability to avoid impact.
