With respect to horsepower, the Mazda MAZDA3 packs quite a punch and will knock the Hyundai Accent down a few rungs. However, remember that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Handling
With their similar turning radii, the Hyundai Accent and the Mazda MAZDA3 likely handle almost the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Mazda MAZDA3's engine is substantially bigger than the Hyundai Accent's. Keep in mind that more sizeable engines may use more gas than smaller ones. Torque equals pickup, and the Mazda MAZDA3 will have picked up and gone by the time the Accent finally gets moving.
