Mazda MAZDA3 vs. Hyundai Accent Review

Performance
With respect to horsepower, the Mazda MAZDA3 packs quite a punch and will knock the Hyundai Accent down a few rungs. However, remember that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Handling
With their similar turning radii, the Hyundai Accent and the Mazda MAZDA3 likely handle almost the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Mazda MAZDA3's engine is substantially bigger than the Hyundai Accent's. Keep in mind that more sizeable engines may use more gas than smaller ones. Torque equals pickup, and the Mazda MAZDA3 will have picked up and gone by the time the Accent finally gets moving.

Utility
Neither the Hyundai Accent nor the Mazda has a marked advantage with respect to seating capacity.

Convenience
You'll likely take the Hyundai for a fill-up almost as often as the Mazda MAZDA3.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Hyundai Accent offers a bit more head room than the Mazda MAZDA3, there frankly isn't much of a difference. While the rear of the Mazda provides a bit more head- and leg-room than the Hyundai Accent, there really isn't much of a difference.

Dimensions
Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Mazda MAZDA3 than the Accent because of its bigger tank. The Hyundai Accent and the Mazda MAZDA3 compete for the same parking spaces.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs roughly the same to get the Hyundai Accent to the dealership as the Mazda. As far as fuel economy, the Accent beats the Mazda MAZDA3. The Mazda guzzles a lot of gas compared to the Hyundai. In terms of MSRP, the Mazda costs substantially more than the Hyundai.

Warranty
The basic warranty that comes with the MAZDA3 isn't quite as generous as the Accent's.
