Mazda MAZDA3 vs. Ford Fusion Review

Performance
In terms of horsepower, the Fusion packs quite a punch and will knock the MAZDA3 down a few rungs. On the flip side, keep in mind that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums. With its tiny horsepower-to-weight ratio, the Ford Fusion will knock you back into your seat when you hit the gas pedal.

Handling
With its tighter turning circle, the Mazda MAZDA3 is doubtless more agile than the Ford Fusion, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; on the flip side, remember that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The Ford Fusion has a bigger engine than the Mazda MAZDA3. Keep in mind that smaller engines typically get better gas mileage, but smaller engines can be stressed more. The Fusion packs quite a wallop compared to the Mazda MAZDA3 with respect to torque, which is roughly equivalent to acceleration. Torque is roughly equivalent to acceleration, and in this respect, the Ford Fusion is significantly more powerful than the Mazda MAZDA3.

Utility
Neither the Mazda MAZDA3 nor the Ford Fusion has a marked advantage regarding seating capacity.

Convenience
You very likely won't have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the Mazda MAZDA3 than with the Ford Fusion, because both offer similar mileage ranges.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Mazda MAZDA3 offers a bit more head room than the Ford Fusion, there really isn't much of a difference. While the rear of the Ford Fusion provides a bit more head- and leg-room than the Mazda MAZDA3, there honestly isn't much of a difference.

Dimensions
The Ford Fusion is somewhat more ponderous than the Mazda MAZDA3. Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Ford Fusion than the Mazda MAZDA3 because of its larger tank. The Mazda MAZDA3 and the Ford Fusion compete for the same parking spaces.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The Mazda MAZDA3 is significantly cheaper to get to the dealership than the Ford Fusion. The Ford will tax your gasoline budget considerably more than the Mazda MAZDA3 will. Producing an exact gas mileage evaluation is so hard that some think not even the federal government can do it, but it looks as though both the Mazda MAZDA3 and the Mazda MAZDA3 perform about comparably regarding gas mileage. When it comes to MSRP, the Mazda MAZDA3 costs significantly less than the Ford Fusion.

Overview
The Ford Fusion and the Mazda have the same basic after-sale protection.
