2014 Mazda Mazda2 Overview
The subcompact five-seat Mazda2 is Mazda's entry-level car. It's only available as a hatchback and is slotted below the Mazda3. The Honda Fit is a major Mazda2 competitor, as are the Ford Fiesta and Chevy Sonic.
The Mazda2 features body-colored door handles and side mirrors and sits on 15-inch steel wheels with covers; 15-inch alloy wheels available. Fog lamps, rear spoiler, and chrome exhaust tip available.
The subcompact Mazda2 features seating for 5 in cloth upholstery with the rear seat featuring a 60/40-split. More standard features include power windows and locks, air conditioning, CD stereo with MP3 jack and USB port, and keyless entry. Additional options include leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, cruise control, and trip computer.
Under the Hood
The Mazda has a 100-horsepower, 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine in five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission. Additionally the engines use regular gas, come front-wheel drive, and have front disc and rear drum brakes.
Standard safety options include side-impact airbags for the front seats, side curtain airbags, antilock brakes, and electronic stability system with traction control.
