2009 Mazda CX-7 Overview
The 2009 Mazda CX-7 is an exciting crossover with excellent power, copious amounts of cargo room and sporty driving dynamics that Mazda’s are known for.

With seating for up to five passengers, standard front-wheel drive or available all-wheel drive, and three trim levels, the CX-7 can fit your lifestyle. The standard 2.3-liter, 244-horsepower turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with Direct Injection produces a robust torque for solid passing power and easy merging abilities. The standard six-speed automatic transmission with sport shift allows the driver to shift the gears manually without the use of a traditional clutch pedal. The optional Active Torque-Split All-Wheel Drive system splits the power between front and rear wheels to optimize traction and grip in a variety of weather conditions.  The CX-7 receives 16-17 mpg in the city and 22-23 mpg on the highway and competes with the Ford Edge, Toyota Highlander and Nissan Murano.

Interior amenities include an available 9-speaker Bose® Centerpoint® surround sound system with 240 watts of pure audio delight, including an in-dash 6-CD changer, and SIRIUS® Satellite Radio. The optional DVD navigation system features voice command and a touch screen for real-time mapping, directions, and audio/climate control functions. The available DVD entertainment system offers enjoyment for rear-seat passengers on long trips.  Dual illuminated vanity mirrors and an auxiliary audio jack for your iPod are now standard.  In terms of size, the CX-7 bigger than the Tribute, but smaller than the CX-9, and has a best-in-class 29.9 cubic feet of cargo volume with the rear seats up.  Use the 60/40 folding r ear seats to utilize 58.6 cubic feet of space with the seats down.  The cargo floor panel is reversible, with a hard plastic side for the rugged cargo you come across.

Four-wheel ventilated disc brakes with an anti-lock braking system, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and Brake Assist offer excellent stopping power and minimize wheel lockup during hard braking. Standard Dynamic Stability Control with the Traction Control System offers excellent stability during evasive maneuvers and limits wheelspin in slippery conditions. Advanced dual front airbags, front side-impact airbags, and front/rear side curtain airbags with rollover protection create a supremely safe passenger environment. The available rearview camera automatically displays a view on the in-dash screen of what’s behind the vehicle while backing up.

With turbocharged power, abundant amenities, and a boatload of safety features, the 2009 Mazda CX-7 is a fun-to-drive crossover that combines a great driving feel with excellent ergonomics and cargo room.
