Lincoln Navigator L vs. Mercedes-Benz GL-Class Review

Performance
With that kind of horsepower, both the Mercedes-Benz GL-Class and the Lincoln Navigator L are true sportscars.

Handling
With its tighter turning radius, the Mercedes-Benz GL-Class is quite certainly nimbler than the Lincoln Navigator L, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; on the flip side, note that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The Mercedes-Benz's engine is substantially smaller than the Navigator L's. Bear in mind that a smaller engine usually has to work a little harder; however, smaller engines typically get better gas mileage. Torque is roughly equivalent to acceleration, and in this respect, the Lincoln Navigator L isn't much more powerful than the GL-Class.

Utility
Drivers with frequent kid-duty might favor the Lincoln Navigator L over the Mercedes-Benz. There's no clear winner between the Lincoln Navigator L and the Mercedes-Benz GL-Class when it comes to transporting cargo. There's little the Navigator L can tow that the GL-Class cannot.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Mercedes-Benz GL-Class offers a bit more head room than the Lincoln, there really isn't much of a difference. While the rear of the Mercedes-Benz GL-Class provides a bit more head- and leg-room than the Lincoln Navigator L, there frankly isn't much of a difference.

Dimensions
The Navigator L is substantially heavier than the Mercedes-Benz GL-Class. Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Lincoln Navigator L than the Mercedes-Benz GL-Class because of its bigger tank. The Mercedes-Benz GL-Class and the Lincoln Navigator L compete for the same parking spaces. The GL-Class's shorter wheelbase may produce a less-settled highway ride but a more agile feel in daily traffic than the Lincoln Navigator L.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs about the same to get the Mercedes-Benz GL-Class to the dealership as the Navigator L. In terms of MSRP, the Mercedes-Benz costs roughly as much as the Navigator L (though the Navigator L is a tad cheaper).

Warranty
The Lincoln Navigator L and the Mercedes-Benz GL-Class have the same basic after-sale protection.
