2015 Lincoln Navigator Overview

  • Full-size SUV with seating for up to eight passengers
  • Standard power-folding third-row
  • New engine for 2015
The 2015 Lincoln Navigator gets several important updates for the new model year, most notably a new engine and a newly available adaptive suspension.

There were also several styling changes made to the Navigator’s exterior, including a new grille, front/rear bumpers, head- and taillights, and hood. The grille is a boxier version of Lincoln’s winged grilled that is found on the rest of its vehicles. There are two models of the Navigator available: a standard version with a 207.4-inch wheelbase and an extended L model with a 222.3-inch wheelbase. 20-inch wheels are now standard, with even larger 22-inch wheels optional.

Under the hood, the V-8 from last year is gone and it is replaced by a 380-hp, twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 EcoBoost engine that is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The Navigator comes with two-wheel drive standard, while a four-wheel drive system is optional. The new engine improves the Navigator’s fuel economy to 15/20 mpg city/highway when equipped with a 4x2 drivetrain. New for 2015 is an adaptive suspension, which allows the driver to choose between three settings (Comfort, Normal, and Sport) depending on the situation.

Inside, the Navigator comes with seating for seven or eight passengers depending on your choice of captain’s chairs or a bench for the second-row. A power-folding third-row comes standard; it folds into the floor to open up more cargo storage when needed. The Navigator is loaded to the gills with standard equipment, including heated/cooled front seats, leather upholstery, navigation, dual-zone automatic climate control, HD radio, power adjustable foot pedals, USB ports, and Bluetooth connectivity.

Standard safety features include a blind spot warning system (new for 2015), rearview camera, antilock brakes, electronic stability control, and six airbags.
