2009 Lincoln MKZ Overview
Although change is good and most times necessary, the 2009 Lincoln MKZ proves that if it isn’t broke, then there is no need to fix it. The MKZ is fully capable in every sense of the word when it comes to family sedan luxury at a non-luxurious price. Available exclusively in a 3.5-liter 263-horsepower Duratec V6 engine, the MKZ accelerates quickly with the standard smooth-shifting 6-speed automatic transmission. Intelligent All-Wheel Drive automatically distributes torque appropriately to the wheels with the most grip enhancing traction. Four-wheel independent suspension provides a quiet, nimble ride and provides excellent cornering ability. Competing against the likes of the Lexus ES 350, Acura TL, Nissan Maxima and the VW Passat, the MKZ holds its own with an abundance of standard features and excellent fuel economy. The 4WD MKZ gets 18 MPG city and 28 MPG highway, with the AWD receiving 17/24. Standard features include 17-inch 8-spoke wheels, leather upholstery, wood trim, heated and cooled power front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, six-speaker CD stereo with SIRIUS® Satellite Radio, auxiliary audio jack for your iPod®, and the SYNC™ multimedia integration system. SYNC™ allows you to access your music collection by genre, album, artist or song title and operate your Bluetooth® through your flash drive by voice command. The standard four-wheel Anti-lock Braking system with Electronic Brake Distribution and Traction Control enhance stopping power and prevent wheel lockup during hard braking. With a total of six airbags with rollover detection, all passengers are protected in a rollover or collision. The MKZ also earned a 5-star frontal crash test rating in government testing. Available HID headlamps last longer, use less energy and produce a whiter light than halogen bulbs. The optional power moonroof lets you enjoy nature with a nice breeze or sweet sunshine. The advanced THX® II audio system boasts 600 watts of power and 14 speakers, including MP3 integration for one of the most authentic, amazing audio experiences available. The available voice-activated DVD-based navigation system combines GPS technology with turn-by-turn voice guidance for expert directions and maps. The 2009 Lincoln MKZ makes it is possible to receive excellent fuel economy, robust power and high-tech innovation, while maintaining supreme luxury. |
