Lincoln MKX vs. Volkswagen Touareg 2 Review

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs roughly the same to get the Touareg 2 to the dealership as the Lincoln MKX. The Volkswagen Touareg 2 won't save you much money at the pump compared to the Lincoln. The Lincoln MKX won't tax your gas budget significantly more than the Volkswagen Touareg 2 will. The Volkswagen Touareg 2 isn't much costlier than the Lincoln as far as MSRP.

Utility
The Lincoln and the Volkswagen can accommodate the same number of passengers. Towing is considerably more the Volkswagen's forte than it is the MKX's.

Convenience
You will most certainly have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the MKX than with the Volkswagen Touareg 2.

Comfort
Taller drivers will significantly enjoy the extra head room in the Lincoln's front cabin compared to the Volkswagen. The MKX offers more head- and leg-room to your passengers than the Volkswagen Touareg 2 does.

Dimensions
The Volkswagen is significantly more bulky than the Lincoln. Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Volkswagen Touareg 2 than the Lincoln MKX because of its larger tank. The Lincoln and the Volkswagen Touareg 2 compete for the same parking spaces.

Handling
With their comparable turning circles, the Volkswagen Touareg 2 and the Lincoln MKX most certainly handle about the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Lincoln MKX's engine is somewhat smaller than the Volkswagen Touareg 2's, but not terribly so. The Lincoln MKX has no lessons to learn with respect to pickup from the Volkswagen.

Warranty
The basic warranty that comes with the Volkswagen isn't quite as generous as the Lincoln's.
