Lincoln MKX vs. Jeep Grand Cherokee Review

The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs about the same to get the Jeep Grand Cherokee to the dealership as the Lincoln. With respect to fuel economy, the Jeep Grand Cherokee is a little better than the Lincoln, but not by much. When it comes to MSRP, the Jeep Grand Cherokee doesn't cost much less than the Lincoln MKX.

Utility
Neither the Grand Cherokee nor the Lincoln MKX has a marked advantage with respect to seating capacity. There's no clear winner between the Jeep and the MKX as far as hauling capacity. The Jeep Grand Cherokee outpulls the MKX by a large margin.

Convenience
You'll most certainly take the MKX for a fill-up almost as often as the Jeep.

While the front cabin in the Lincoln MKX offers a bit more head room than the Jeep Grand Cherokee, there really isn't much of a difference. The ampler interior dimensions of the Lincoln make it substantially roomier for your passengers than the Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The Lincoln MKX's tank is almost the same size as the Jeep Grand Cherokee's, though the Jeep Grand Cherokee's is a little larger. The Lincoln MKX and the Jeep Grand Cherokee compete for the same parking spaces.

When it comes to horsepower, the Jeep Grand Cherokee packs quite a punch and will knock the Lincoln MKX down a few rungs. However, keep in mind that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

With their similar turning radii, the Jeep Grand Cherokee and the MKX quite certainly handle approximately the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Jeep Grand Cherokee's engine isn't much bigger than the Lincoln MKX's.

The basic after-sale protection that comes with the Jeep Grand Cherokee isn't quite as generous as the Lincoln MKX's.
