Lincoln MKX vs. Jeep Commander Review

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs roughly the same to get the Jeep Commander to the dealership as the Lincoln MKX. There really isn't much of a difference in gas mileage here, but if you must know, the Lincoln MKX is a little more economical than the Jeep. The Jeep won't tax your gas budget substantially more than the Lincoln MKX will. The Commander isn't much pricier than the Lincoln MKX when it comes to MSRP.

Utility
The Jeep Commander will quite certainly prove more practical than the MKX for those of you with frequent kid-cargo. The Jeep Commander is likely a better choice than the Lincoln with respect to hauling capacity, especially if you often need to carry a lot of stuff or large animals. Towing is substantially more the Jeep Commander's forte than it is the Lincoln MKX's.

Convenience
You'll likely take the Jeep Commander for a fill-up almost as often as the MKX.

Comfort
Taller drivers will substantially enjoy the extra head room in the Commander's front cabin compared to the MKX. The ampler interior dimensions of the Lincoln make it considerably roomier for your passengers than the Jeep.

Dimensions
The Lincoln MKX's tank is about the same size as the Jeep Commander's, though the Jeep Commander's is a bit bigger. The MKX and the Jeep compete for the same parking spaces.

Performance
As far as horsepower, the Jeep Commander packs quite a wallop and will knock the Lincoln MKX down a few rungs. However, keep in mind that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Handling
With their comparable turning radii, the Commander and the Lincoln MKX most certainly handle roughly the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Lincoln MKX and the Commander have similar-sized engines, with a slight advantage to the Commander.

Warranty
The basic after-sale protection that comes with the Jeep Commander isn't quite as generous as the Lincoln MKX's.
