New 2010 Lincoln MKX

Price, Photos, Reviews & Features
2010 Lincoln MKX Overview
The 2010 Lincoln MKX is for the more distinguishing buyer. Some may scoff at paying more for an SUV that on paper looks a lot like some less expensive crossovers. The astute buyer will appreciate the finer materials and quieter ride that make the MKX a Lincoln.

The 2010 Lincoln MKX is driven by a 265-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6. All that power allows the MKX to achieve a tow rating of 3500 pounds. Even with all that power, the MKX is relatively easy on the gas tank. Lincoln engineers worked on refining both the engine and the aerodynamics of the MKX to gain better fuel economy for 2010. The all-wheel drive MKX gets an extra mpg on the highway and an extra two in the city, for a rating of 17 mpg in the city and 23 on the highway.

Inside the 2010 Lincoln MKX a blend of high quality materials and pleasing technologies await occupants. A cavernous amount of room welcomes both occupants and up to 69 cubic feet of cargo. Sirius Satellite Radio comes standard, as do an interior air filtration system, leather interior, voice-activated SYNC communications system, dual zone climate control, and heated front seats. Lincoln leaves it to the buyer to choose from features such as a Vista Roof two-piece glass sunroof, hard drive based navigation system, a home theater-like THX speaker set, and heated rear seats.

Safety is no luxury, but one expects the best from luxury models. The Lincoln MKX rises to this occasion, as it received a Top Safety Pick award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The full host of airbags — front, front-side, and head — all come standard, as does a full set of car-control electronics. Traction and stability control ensure the driver does not lose control of the MKX, while antilock brakes with brake assist give their all to make this SUV stop in time.

The 2010 Lincoln MKX comes with a big price tag, but delivers in quality. The materials deliver a tactile feel which reminds the owner they bought a Lincoln. The quiet operation and smooth ride remind the owner they made the right choice.
