2011 Lincoln MKT Overview
Crossing-over has never been better with the versatile, powerful and technologically advanced 2011 Lincoln MKT.
When it comes to power, the 2011 Lincoln MKT offers two V-6 engines: the base 268-horsepower, 3.7-liter V-6 and the optional 355-horsepower, twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 EcoBoost engine. The EcoBoost engine meshes the power of a V-8 with the fuel economy gains of a V-6. Both engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters for manual gear shifting. The 2011 MKT shares the same platform as the Ford Flex and offers both front- or all-wheel drive, allowing you to maintain optimal control. When properly equipped, the MKT can tow up to 4,500 pounds and competes with the Buick Enclave and Acura MDX. The MKT receives 16-17 mpg in the city and 21-23 mpg on the highway.
With its large, bold, split-wing grille, the MKT is instantly recognizable. Rounded edges lend to the MKT’s sleek, uniform design with taillights that stretch across the rear fascia like a visor. A fixed glass panoramic sunroof is standard, while one-touch power functionality is optional. Once you step into the 2011 MKT, you will notice leather bucket seating for six passengers and a refrigerator or a rear bench seat that allows the MKT to seat up to seven. Utilize 75.9 cubic feet of maximum cargo space (with both rows folded), 39.6 cubic feet with the rear seat folded and 17.9 cubic feet behind the third row to bring along whatever you need.
Ambient interior lighting, CD/DVD/MP3-capable sound system with 12 speakers, SIRIUS Satellite Radio, auxiliary jack, a 10GB hard drive, and USB port are all standard. The SYNC™ Communications and Entertainment System allows you to use voice commands to access your music collection by genre, album, artist or song title and operate your Bluetooth® compatible devices. Tri-zone temperature control, 12-way power heated/cooled driver/front passenger seats, power liftgate, and touch screen with audio/climate controls also come standard. The Elite Package includes even more technology, with a voice-activated navigation system, THX certified 5.1-surround audio system, dual-headrest DVD entertainment system, and 20-inch polished aluminum wheels.
When it comes to safety, the 2011 Lincoln MKT has you and your family covered. Side curtain airbags for all three rows, side-impact airbags for the front seats, antilock brakes, electronic stability system with Roll Stability Control, rear parking sensors and a backup camera all come standard. The optional Blind Spot Information System, Collision Warning and Brake Support lessen the probability of an impact.
The 2011 Lincoln MKT luxury crossover is long and more than capable to handle all that you can stuff inside, while providing a luxurious cabin experience.
