New 2009 Lincoln MKS

Price, Photos, Reviews & Features
2009 Lincoln MKS Overview
In need of a flagship vehicle, Lincoln introduces the all-new 2009 MKS, sedan blending discrete and subtle elegance with classic styling and a variety of standard features at aan agreeable price.

Competing against the likes of the Cadillac STS and Acura RL, the MKS has premium features at a fraction of the price.  The MKS starts under $40,000 and comes with several standard goodies making it a bargain for consumers looking for more bang for their buck.

Based on the Ford Taurus platform, the MKS boasts more interior head room and space for all passengers to sit comfortably.  In its attempt to become synonymous with refinement, the MKS features an interior flush with leather.  The double-wing grille is reminiscent of the 1941 Lincoln Continental giving a modern touch to classic design.

Speaking of those standard goodies, the MKS comes equipped with heated 12-way power front bucket seats, SYNC™ voice technology, which combines MP3, Bluetooth® and all other audio functions into a voice-activated interface. 18-inch wheels, audio input jack, dual-zone temperature control, Audiophile AM/FM in-dash 6-disc CD changer, MP3 capability, eight speakers, SIRIUS Satellite Radio and THX II certified audio system are standard accents.  SecuriCode™ Keyless Entry Keypad is invisible unless activated when heat is detected.

The MKS displays adequate power with a six-speed automatic 3.7-liter, 270-horsepower V-6 engine with SelectShift®.  For all of the aesthetic pleasures the MKS brings, it does not deliver when it comes to fuel economy.  Expect to get 17 MPG city, 24 MPG highway and 19 MPG combined.

Optional features include power rear window sunshade, 600 watt THX II 5.1 surround audio system, push button start and dual panel moonroof . The Voice-Activated Navigation System with SIRIUS Travel Link™ allows you to store more than 150 hours of music.  SIRIUS Satellite Radio comes standard, but a premium subscription and the navigation system provides movie listings, gas prices and nearby stations and weather reports.

Lincoln takes safety seriously with AdvanceTrac® with electric stability control, four-wheel-disc brakes, six airbags; dual front airbags, side-impact airbags and side curtain airbags that stay inflated longer during a rollover.  Anti-theft perimeter alarm, Belt-Minder system and S.O.S. post crash alert system lead the charge in innovative safety features.

The 2009 Lincoln MKS is an all-new car with a fresh design full of refinement and gadgetry all under the umbrella of affordability.
