2012 Lexus RX 350 Overview
With plenty of power and handling combined with luxurious appointments and entertainment for the entire family, the 2012 Lexus RX 350 SUV can perform anytime, anywhere.
The 2012 Lexus RX 350 now takes regular gasoline, which will save you some cash at the pump, while a new Appearance Package with 19-inch seven-spoke wheels and darker headlight housings are new for 2012. A 275-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 is paired to a six-speed automatic transmission with clutchless-manual mode that sends power through the front wheels (all-wheel drive is optional). Active Torque Control with variable torque split and a manual-locking center differential aid in maneuvering during choppy situations. Fuel economy ratings for the 2012 RX 350 are 18 mpg in the city and 24-25 mpg on the highway, and the RX 350 competes with the Acura MDX, Lincoln MKX, and Buick Enclave in the luxury SUV segment.
Sleek lines and a wagon-like stance are what first capture your attention, but there is more than meets the eye to the RX 350. The Adaptive Font Lighting System pivots the headlamps into a turn helping anticipate what lies ahead, while intelligent high-beam headlamps automatically switch from high beams to low beams when oncoming traffic is detected. A power rear door, rear spoiler, and 19-inch wheels are optional equipment.
Inside the five-seat 2012 Lexus RX 350, you’ll receive 40 cubic feet of storage space behind the 40/20/40-split second row and 80.3 cubic feet with the second row folded. Optional heated/ventilated 10-way power front seats and wood trim make for a comfortable environment, while the futuristic Remote Touch system features a mouse-like controller at the bottom of the center console that operates the audio, navigation and other functions on the color display screen. The voice-recognition technology and voice-activated hard drive-base navigation system allow you to keep your eyes on the road instead of on the dashboard and the 15-speaker Mark Levinson premium surround sound system delivers crystal clear music to your ears.
Lexus’ Enform service, which is included with the navigation system and is free for one year, is a virtual concierge and helps you not only find where to go but what to do. A USB port for your iPod and other mobile devices, dual-zone automatic climate control, and Bluetooth® connectivity are standard, while a dual-screen rear-entertainment system that will keep the kids occupied on long trips is optional.
High tech safety features are ever present in 2012 Lexus RX 350 and are headlined by the heads-up display, Pre-Collision System, Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management system, side-mirror-mounted camera system, and 10 airbags.
Keep you and your family safe, while riding in comfort and luxury in the 2012 Lexus RX 350.
