2009 Lexus RX 350 Overview
The Pursuit of Perfection

Lexus is billing its 2009 RX 350 as “An innovative luxury utility vehicle with outstanding performance and a host of Actively Safe features to help prevent accidents.”

Buyers get a choice of two trims for 2009: All-wheel drive and front-wheel drive. A robust 270-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 engine is managed courtesy of dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i) technology. Lexus says this system continually monitors engine speed and load, adjusting the intake and exhaust valves to help ensure a maximum level of power is available at all times.

The five-speed RX is also available with a sequential-shift transmission allowing the driver to manually change gears with a gentle tap of the gearshift.

An available Four-Wheel Air Suspension system can provide increased ground clearance one moment, and improved aerodynamics for performance driving the next. When parked, the RX conveniently assumes its lowest point for easier passenger and cargo loading.

Passengers will enjoy nearly 141 cubic feet of space. Refreshingly filtered air is circulated from the dual-zone automatic climate-control system.

For the driver, conformity never looked so good. The sliding center console adheres to specified requirements, while the available advanced memory system recalls the position of side mirrors, steering wheel and 10-way adjustable driver’s seat.

The cockpit of the RX 350 is flush with luxury: steering wheel controls accommodate up to 10 separate commands; signature instrumentation provides clarity in virtually any light; available backup camera system automatically displays a full-color video image on the in-dash, voice-activated LCD NAV screen.

The power rear door (complete with safety buzzer) can be raised or lowered by pressing a button on the key, inside the cabin or on the door itself.

With the latest RX 350, Lexus maintains its focus on safety. Passengers are virtually wrapped in airbags of every shape, size, and technological deployment option. A four-sensor, four-channel Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) with Brake Assist provides excellent control and supplemental braking power. Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) measures wheel speed, steering angle and yaw rate to detect the onset of a loss in wheel traction. A direct Tire Pressure Monitoring System helps you keep the tires properly inflated, activating a light on the instrument panel when pressure is critically low.

The 2009 Lexus RX 350 signature rings true: pursuit of perfection has never been stronger.
