Lexus ES 350 vs. Volvo S60 Review

Performance
As far as horsepower, the Lexus packs quite a punch and will knock the Volvo S60 down a few rungs. However, note that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Drivetrain
The Lexus ES 350 has a more massive engine than the Volvo S60. Keep in mind that smaller engines are often cheaper to fix, but a smaller engine usually has to work a little harder.

Utility
Neither the Volvo S60 nor the ES 350 has a marked advantage with respect to seating capacity.

Convenience
You'll most certainly take the Volvo S60 for a fill-up approximately as often as the Lexus ES 350.

Comfort
Taller drivers will significantly enjoy the extra head room in the Volvo S60's front cabin compared to the Lexus ES 350. The Lexus ES 350 offers more head- and leg-room to your passengers than the Volvo does.

Dimensions
The Volvo S60's tank is about the same size as the Lexus ES 350's, though the ES 350's is a tad bigger. The Volvo and the Lexus ES 350 compete for the same parking spaces.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs roughly the same to get the Volvo S60 to the dealership as the Lexus ES 350. With respect to fuel economy, the Volvo S60 is slightly better than the Lexus ES 350, but not by much. The Lexus ES 350 isn't much pricier than the Volvo S60 regarding MSRP.

Warranty
The Lexus ES 350 and the S60 have the same basic after-sale protection.
