Lexus ES 350 vs. Hyundai Genesis Review

Performance
In terms of horsepower, the Hyundai packs quite a punch and will knock the ES 350 down a few rungs. However, keep in mind that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Handling
With their comparable turning radii, the Genesis and the Lexus ES 350 most certainly handle roughly the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Lexus ES 350 and the Hyundai Genesis have similar-sized engines, with a slight advantage to the Hyundai Genesis. Torque is roughly equivalent to acceleration, and in this respect, the Hyundai Genesis isn't much more powerful than the Lexus.

Utility
Neither the Lexus ES 350 nor the Hyundai Genesis has a marked advantage regarding seating capacity.

Convenience
You most certainly won't have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the Lexus ES 350 than with the Hyundai Genesis, as both offer comparable mileage ranges.

Comfort
Taller drivers will considerably enjoy the extra head room in the Hyundai Genesis's front cabin compared to the Lexus ES 350. The ampler interior dimensions of the Hyundai make it significantly roomier for your passengers than the Lexus.

Dimensions
The Lexus ES 350's tank is about the same size as the Hyundai Genesis's, though the Hyundai Genesis's is a little bigger. The Lexus ES 350 and the Hyundai compete for the same parking spaces. The Lexus's shorter wheelbase will likely give a nimbler feel in daily traffic. On the flip side, the Hyundai Genesis is likely to have a smoother, more stable ride.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs roughly the same to get the Hyundai Genesis to the dealership as the ES 350. The Hyundai Genesis doesn't pale in comparison to the ES 350 with respect to gas mileage. There frankly isn't much of a difference in gas mileage here, but if you must know, the Lexus is somewhat more economical than the Hyundai Genesis. The Lexus ES 350 isn't much less costly than the Hyundai Genesis regarding MSRP.

Warranty
The basic after-sale protection that comes with the Lexus ES 350 isn't quite as generous as the Genesis's.
