Land Rover Range Rover Sport vs. Audi Q7 Review

Utility
There's no clear winner between the Audi and the Range Rover Sport with respect to hauling capacity. The Audi will doubtless prove more practical than the Land Rover Range Rover Sport for those of you with frequent child-cargo. Towing is quite a bit more the Land Rover Range Rover Sport's forte than it is the Audi Q7's.

Dimensions
The Land Rover Range Rover Sport is a tad heavier than the Audi Q7. The Land Rover Range Rover Sport's tank is roughly the same size as the Audi Q7's, though the Audi Q7's is a tad larger. The Land Rover Range Rover Sport and the Q7 compete for the same parking spaces. The Audi Q7's longer wheelbase will result in a smoother, more stable ride; on the flip side, the Land Rover Range Rover Sport may give a more agile feel in daily traffic.

Convenience
You'll very likely have to take the Range Rover Sport for a fill-up more often than the Q7 because of its tank size and gas mileage.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs roughly the same to get the Land Rover Range Rover Sport to the dealership as the Audi Q7. There isn't much of a difference in gas mileage here, but if you must know, the Audi Q7 is somewhat more economical than the Land Rover Range Rover Sport. In terms of MSRP, the Audi Q7 costs considerably less than the Land Rover Range Rover Sport. The Audi Q7 isn't much less expensive than the Land Rover in terms of final cost.

Handling
The Land Rover Range Rover Sport and the Q7 have about similar tires. With their comparable turning circles, the Land Rover and the Q7 quite certainly handle approximately the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Audi Q7 could learn a lesson or two from the Land Rover with respect to torque. Torque is roughly equivalent to acceleration, and in this respect, the Land Rover Range Rover Sport is quite a bit more powerful than the Audi Q7.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Audi offers a bit more head room than the Land Rover Range Rover Sport, there really isn't much of a difference. The Range Rover Sport is not particularly more spacious for your passengers than the Q7.

Overview
The Q7 and the Land Rover Range Rover Sport have the same basic warranty.

The Q7 produces fewer smog-forming pollutants per 15,000 miles than the Range Rover Sport.
