Land Rover LR3 vs. Toyota Sequoia Review

With respect to horsepower, the Sequoia packs quite a punch and will knock the LR3 down a few rungs. On the flip side, bear in mind that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Handling
With their comparable turning radii, the Land Rover LR3 and the Toyota Sequoia quite certainly handle about the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Land Rover LR3's engine is slightly smaller than the Toyota Sequoia's, but not terribly so.

Utility
The Toyota will quite certainly prove handier than the Land Rover for those of you with frequent child-cargo. There's no clear winner between the Toyota Sequoia and the LR3 when it comes to transporting cargo. Towing is considerably more the Toyota Sequoia's forte than it is the LR3's.

Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Toyota Sequoia than the Land Rover LR3 because of its larger tank. The Land Rover LR3 and the Toyota compete for the same parking spaces. The Land Rover LR3's shorter wheelbase may produce a less-settled highway ride but a more maneuverable feel in daily traffic than the Toyota Sequoia.

The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs approximately the same to get the LR3 to the dealership as the Sequoia. Regarding gas mileage, the Toyota Sequoia has the Land Rover beat. The Land Rover LR3 doesn't pale in comparison to the Toyota Sequoia when it comes to fuel economy. When it comes to MSRP, the Toyota Sequoia costs almost as much as the Land Rover LR3 (though the Land Rover LR3 is a tad cheaper).

The basic after-sale protection that comes with the Sequoia isn't quite as generous as the Land Rover's.
