The MDX and the Land Rover LR3 can accommodate the same number of passengers. The Land Rover LR3 is a better choice than the Acura MDX regarding transporting cargo, especially if you frequently need to carry a lot of loot or massive pets. The Land Rover LR3 outpulls the Acura MDX by a large margin.

Dimensions
The LR3 is substantially more bulky than the Acura MDX. The Acura MDX's tank is about the same size as the LR3's, though the LR3's is a tad larger. The Acura and the Land Rover LR3 compete for the same parking spaces.

Convenience
The Land Rover LR3's fuel tank will need to be replenished a little more often than the unit in the Acura MDX.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs roughly the same to get the Acura MDX to the dealership as the Land Rover LR3. The Acura MDX will save you money at the pump compared to the Land Rover LR3. As far as fuel economy, the Acura MDX has the Land Rover LR3 beat. The Acura isn't much less costly than the Land Rover LR3 with respect to MSRP.

Drivetrain
The LR3's engine is considerably bigger than the Acura's. Bear in mind that larger engines may use more gas than smaller ones. Torque equals pickup, and the Land Rover will have picked up and gone by the time the Acura MDX finally gets moving. Torque is roughly equivalent to acceleration, and in this respect, the Land Rover LR3 is substantially more powerful than the Acura MDX.

Taller drivers will substantially enjoy the extra head room in the Land Rover LR3's front cabin compared to the Acura MDX. The Land Rover offers more head- and leg-room to your passengers than the Acura does.
