2017 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Overview

The 2017 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque is the entry-level, compact SUV in the lineup. It competes with the Mercedes GLA250, BMW X3, and Audi Q5. This year, the Range Rover Evoque has three body styles: the regular 5-door, 3-door coupe, and a new 4-seat convertible version with a retractable top. It also has updated interior features.

The Range Rover Evoque has five trims available: the SE, SE Premium, HSE, HSE Dynamic, and Autobiography. The coupe version only comes as the SE trim level. Lastly, the convertible version has two trims: the SE Dynamic and HSE Dynamic.

The Range Rover Evoque has a sleek design that comes with a low-profile hardtop, deeply channeled body lines, and bulging fenders. The front-end has a geometric appearance with a unique mesh-pattern grille and “Range Rover” emblazoned on the bonnet. Standard features include power/heated side mirrors.  Available features include adaptive Xenon headlights, LED signature lighting. fog lights, hood vents, and a hands-free power liftgate.

Under the hood, the Range Rover Evoque is powered by a standard 240-hp, turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive. Fuel efficiency for the Range Rover Evoque is an EPA-estimated 21/30 mpg city/highway.

Inside, the Range Rover Evoque has a leather-upholstered interior with a 60/40 split-folding rear seat. The center stack features the InControl Touch multimedia system that includes an 8-inch touchscreen, an integrated navigation system, Bluetooth connectivity for phone and audio, and a USB port. It can be upgraded to the InTouch Pro version which has a larger 10.2-inch touchscreen and a Meridian premium audio system. Standard features include cruise control, rear HVAC, an automatic dimming rearview mirror, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, remote keyless entry, push-button start, and power front seats. Available features include Oxford leather upholstery, a heated leather steering wheel, and a perforated leather steering wheel.

A unique safety feature to the Range Rover Evoque is All-Terrain Progress Control, which comes standard. It functions as a low speed cruise control for off-road situations. Standard safety features include seven airbags, antilock brakes, an electronic stability control system, and a backup camera. Available features include a surround view camera system, a blindspot monitoring system, rear cross-traffic alert, park assist, a driver drowsiness detection system, and lane keep assist.
