2008 Kia Sedona Overview
As minivans continue to vanish from manufacturers' lineups every model year, the 2008 Kia Sedona is still around, offering a solid safety package and comprehensive amenities for budget-conscious families. The Sedona is available in three trim levels – base, LX, and EX – all sharing a 3.8 liter V6 engine with 250 horsepower that supplies instant pickup and quick passing. The standard 5-speed automatic transmission includes Sportmatic® manual shifting capability for quick shifts with the flick of your hand. Cargo volume is quite generous, with a maximum 141.5 cubic feet of space behind the 1st row of seats. With seven passenger seating, including removable 2nd-row captain’s chairs and available 60/40 split folding 3rd-row seats, it has a supremely flexible interior. Convenient standard dual power sliding doors and power lift gate make cargo and passenger loading and unloading a breeze. Optional power adjustable pedals enable drivers of all sizes to find the perfect position. The available rear-seat DVD entertainment system with wireless headsets and remote control ensures that your rear seat passengers stay thoroughly entertained. The optional Infinity® MP3/Cassette audio system with in-dash 6-disc changer and 13 speakers offers an unparalleled audio experience. With a 5-star crash test rating, the Sedona is packed with safety features including standard 4-wheel anti-lock brakes with Electronic Brake-force distribution and Brake Assist to help prevent wheel lockup and shorten stopping distances. Standard Electronic Stability Control and the Traction Control System keep the vehicle under control during emergency maneuvers and prevent excessive wheelspin during acceleration. A comprehensive restraint system includes dual front advanced airbags, dual front seat-mounted side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags, and front active head restraints to protect passengers in all three rows in a collision. The optional Back-up Warning System alerts the driver to any objects behind the vehicle with an audible beep. The standard Tire Pressure Monitoring System helps keep tire inflated properly by alerting the driver to any significant drops in pressure. For the price, the 2008 Kia Sedona is a very well-equipped, powerful minivan that offers a lot of refinement and a roomy interior. |
