2012 Kia Sedona Overview
The 2012 Kia Sedona returns virtually unchanged from last year’s model and this minivan on a budget still delivers great value with all the people carrying chops you could need.
Styling on the Sedona is a bit dated, but this seven passenger minivan isn’t short on utility. Power mirrors and a heated front windshield come standard, while power sliding doors, tailgate, and moonroof are all optional. The 2012 Sedona’s third row bench can fold completely into the floor to open up more cargo room if needed as well.
Under the hood the Sedona keeps things simple with one engine, and one transmission: a 271-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 which is mated to a six-speed automatic. Fuel economy ratings are middle of the pack for minivans, at 18 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway.
Standard features on the 2012 Sedona include power windows for the first and second rows and locks, keyless entry, USB/iPod connectivity, and front and rear air conditioning. For additional comfort and convenience, a navigation system, three-zone automatic climate control, and a rear DVD player with 8-inch monitor are all available as options.
The Sedona also comes with many standard safety features including a full complement of airbags, antilock brakes, electronic stability control, and a backup warning system all standard.
It’s not the flashiest of minivans, but the 2012 Kia Sedona gets the job done. With ample seating for seven passenger and plenty of convenience features, the Sedona takes care of business efficiently and at a low price.
