2010 Kia Forte Overview
Looking to freshen up the brand, Kia introduces the all-new 2010 Kia Forte to those looking for excellent fuel economy and practicality at an affordable price.

Replacing the Spectra sedan in Kia's model lineup, the brand-new Forte boasts a fresh and sporty style and three trim levels – LX, EX and SX. Power is not the Forte’s forte, but it does provide ample pop with either a 156-horsepower, 2.0-liter or 173-horsepower, 2.4-liter engine. Both are mated to four- or five-speed automatic transmissions, or five- or six-speed manual transmissions.

Those who are constantly on the go will appreciate the Forte’s efficient 22-27 mpg in the city and 31-36 mpg on the highway. When it comes to power and fuel economy, the 2010 Kia Forte is on par with the Ford Focus, Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla. However, when it comes to price and warranty (the Forte boasts a 10 year/100,000 mile warranty) the Forte is the hands-down winner.

Don’t let the name fool you — this Kia has style. Choose between 15-, 16- and 17-inch tires with alloy wheels, an optional sport-tuned suspension, heated mirrors with turn-signal indicators, rear spoiler and power sunroof with tilt. Once inside the Forte, you’ll notice how spacious it is for a small car. The Forte seats five, has a voluminous backseat and trunk (14.7 cubic feet). An AM/FM/CD/MP3/Sirius Satellite Radio audio system with four speakers, USB and Auxiliary input jack, Bluetooth connectivity, EcoMinder fuel efficiency monitor and 6-way adjustable driver’s seat are all standard features. The Supervision gauge cluster with trip computer, audio system with six speakers, tilt and telescoping steering column, sport cloth seat trim, heated leather seating and metal pedals are optional. The audio system’s display features unique red graphics for those who like to mix it up.

When it comes to safety, the Kia Forte has you and your family covered. Side-impact airbags for the front seats, side curtain airbags, all-disc antilock brakes, active head restraints and an electronic stability system, traction control, electronic brake-force distribution and tire pressure monitoring system all come standard.

Save some serious dough on the sticker price and at the pump with the all-new sporty, spacious and fun 2010 Kia Forte.
