Cars.com is a premier leader in the automotive online marketing space and is seeking a DBA who has a passion to be an active contributor in developing and optimizing our web based internal tools.

Location of Santa Monica Office (Google Maps)

Core Qualifications

• MySQL DBA with minimum 2-5 years working experience in a linux/unix environment.
• Must have experience in replication, stored routines, triggers, views, MySQL scheduling.
• Direct knowledge of the MySQL load balancer and clustering
• Must be comfortable with: working via command-line, maintaining and developing cron/daemon scripts.
• Experience in full system development, including data architecture.
• Must have some experience in scripting languages (PHP preferred, Perl, Bash, ASP, or Java/JSP)
• Creative, hard working, self motivated with good communication skills.
• Experience with data warehouse, OLTP, reporting environments a plus.
• Experience working on projects involving online marketing with Yahoo and Google a major plus.
