The 2009 Jeep Liberty features a classic, chiseled grille, a more rugged exterior design, and new off-road technologies.

The Liberty is available in two trim levels – the well-equipped Sport and the loaded Limited. The 3.7-liter, 210-horsepower V-6 engine provides decent acceleration. With the available smooth-shifting four-speed automatic transmission, the Liberty has a maximum 5,000 pound towing capacity. Standard two-wheel drive models offer decent fuel economy and dry-pavement handling, while models equipped with Command-Trac® 4WD offers power to all four wheels so you can conquer rough terrain. Available Selec-Trac® 4WD offers two-speed, full-time, active on-demand four wheel drive, which engages on rough terrain or smooth pavement.
