The five-seat Grand Cherokee is Jeep’s largest and most luxurious SUV. It's offered with gas V-6 or V-8 power as well as a turbo-diesel V-6 engine. It's also available in high-performance SRT form with a 475-horsepower V-8. The Grand Cherokee is offered with rear-wheel drive or one of three different four-wheel-drive systems. Competitors include the Toyota 4Runner, Volkswagen Touareg and Land Rover Range Rover Sport.

New for 2016
The 3.6-liter gas V-6 gains auto stop-start technology and other changes that Jeep says will increase fuel efficiency and also increase horsepower by 5 to 295 hp. All models get electric power steering with customizable steering effort, weight-saving aluminum suspension components and tires with lower rolling resistance, all to increase efficiency.

Grand Cherokee SRT
The Grand Cherokee SRT high-performance SUV packs a 475-hp, 6.4-liter V-8 engine that works with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It comes with an adaptive sport suspension and Brembo-brand brakes.

For 2016, a revised gauge cluster places the tachometer in the center and moves the speedometer to the left, and the Performance Pages system adds more performance timers and six pre-configured drive modes for snow, towing and other conditions, plus a customizable mode.
