Jeep Compass vs. Saturn VUE Review

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The Jeep Compass is significantly cheaper to get to the dealership than the Saturn VUE. Producing an accurate gas mileage evaluation is so difficult that some think not even the federal government can do it, but it looks as though the Jeep Compass is the winner as far as gas mileage. Regarding fuel economy, the Jeep Compass beats the Saturn. When it comes to MSRP, the Jeep Compass costs significantly less than the Saturn VUE.

Utility
Neither the Jeep Compass nor the Saturn VUE has a marked advantage regarding seating capacity. Towing is significantly more the Saturn VUE's forte than it is the Jeep's.

Convenience
The Jeep Compass's fuel tank will need to be replenished slightly more often than the unit in the VUE.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Jeep Compass offers a bit more head room than the Saturn, there really isn't much of a difference. The Jeep Compass provides more head- and leg-room to your passengers than the Saturn VUE does.

Dimensions
Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Saturn VUE than the Jeep Compass because of its bigger tank. The Jeep Compass and the VUE compete for the same parking spaces.

Performance
In terms of horsepower, the VUE packs quite a punch and will knock the Jeep Compass down a few rungs. However, note that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Handling
With its tighter turning radius, the Jeep Compass is quite certainly more maneuverable than the VUE, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; however, keep in mind that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The Jeep Compass's engine is somewhat smaller than the VUE's, but not terribly so.

Warranty
The Saturn and the Compass have the same basic warranty.
