Jeep Compass vs. Pontiac Torrent Review

Utility
The Pontiac Torrent's more sizeable trunk will accommodate more massive objects than the Jeep. Neither the Jeep Compass nor the Torrent has a marked advantage in terms of seating capacity. The Pontiac is likely a better choice than the Compass with respect to transporting cargo, especially if you frequently need to carry a lot of suitcases or large pets. Towing is markedly more the Pontiac Torrent's forte than it is the Compass's.

Dimensions
The Pontiac is quite a bit heavier than the Compass. Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Pontiac Torrent than the Jeep Compass because of its more capacious tank. The Compass and the Pontiac Torrent compete for the same parking spaces. The Pontiac Torrent's longer wheelbase will result in a smoother, more stable ride; on the other hand, the Compass may give a sprier feel in daily traffic.

Convenience
You quite certainly won't have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the Torrent than with the Jeep Compass, because both offer comparable mileage ranges.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs approximately the same to get the Compass to the dealership as the Pontiac.
