The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs roughly the same to get the Jeep Compass to the dealership as the Honda Element. With respect to fuel economy, the Jeep Compass beats the Honda Element. The Compass won't save you much money at the pump compared to the Honda Element. As far as MSRP, the Jeep Compass costs roughly as much as the Honda Element (though the Honda Element is a tad cheaper).

Utility
Drivers with frequent child-duty might favor the Jeep Compass over the Honda Element. The Jeep is likely a better choice than the Honda when it comes to transporting cargo, especially if you often need to carry a lot of luggage or massive animals. Towing is substantially more the Jeep Compass's forte than it is the Element's.

You definitely won't have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the Compass than with the Honda Element, as both offer similar mileage ranges.
