The Chevrolet Equinox and the Compass can accommodate the same number of passengers. The Chevrolet Equinox is likely a better choice than the Jeep as far as hauling capacity, especially if you frequently need to carry a lot of suitcases or massive dogs. Towing is substantially more the Jeep Compass's forte than it is the Chevrolet Equinox's.

Performance
