The Commander is available in several distinct trim levels – the capable 5- or 7-passenger Sport, the loaded Limited, rugged Overland, and top-of-the-line custom Rocky Mountain Edition. Engine choices start off with a3.7-liter, 210-horsepower V-6 and move to a powerful 4.7-liter, 305-horsepower V-8 has Flex Fuel capability to run on gasoline or E85 ethanol. The redesigned 5.7-liter, 357-horsepower HEMI® V-8 churns out 389 pounds-feet of torque to boost your capability and acceleration. The Commander receives 13-15 mpg in the city and 18-20 mpg on the highway and competes with the Toyota 4Runner, Nissan Pathfinder and Ford Explorer.
Standard two-wheel drive models provide rear-wheel drive acceleration and good towing ability.
