2011 Infiniti M37 Overview

The Infiniti M series has undergone a complete makeover and it all starts with the all-new 2011 Infiniti M37 midsize luxury sedan, which retains its sport-tuned performance, adds a sleeker, bolder style and a plethora of impressive technology features.

Nissan’s luxury brand, Infiniti has replaced last year’s M35 with the all-new M37.  The 2011 M37 is more powerful with a 3.7-liter, 330-horsepower V-6 and is mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission with auto-manual paddle shifting.  Not only is there more power, but the M37 is more efficient with 18 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway.  The M37 is available in one trim level, which is rear-wheel drive, but an all-wheel drive version, the M37x is available.  The midsize luxury sedan segment is strong and the 2011 M37 has to compete with the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, BMW 5 Series, Jaguar XF and Lincoln MKS.

When it comes to the exterior, gone is the safe, sterile design of last year’s model.  The 2011 Infiniti M37 incorporates fluid lines that run from front to back; a more sculpted hood and distinctive grille and rear fascia. With the changes to the engine and exterior, the M37 not only drives sporty—it looks sporty. Dual exhaust pipes, sunroof, keyless ignition/entry, foglights, power-folding side mirrors, xenon headlights and 18-inch alloy wheels come standard.

Because the 2011 M37 has only one trim, there are five optional packages to choose from: Premium, Deluxe Touring, Sport, Sport Touring and Technology.  Inside the M37, high-quality materials mesh with a luxurious design that ripples with purpose.  Dual zone climate control, 10-way power driver’s and front-passenger’s seats, leather-appointed interior with Japanese Ash wood trim, CD stereo with six speakers, USB/iPod/Bluetooth connectivity and backup camera are just some of the standard features.  The various packages add heated seats, updated navigation system with 8-inch touch-screen display, Lane Guidance and 3-D building graphics and XM NavTraffic with real-time traffic information.  The Premium Package also takes your audio experience to the next level with a 10-speaker Bose premium audio system, 9.3GB Music Box hard drive and in-dash DVD player.

Safety is the name of the game for the 2011 Infiniti M37.  Six airbags, an electronic stability system with traction control, antilock brakes and active front head restraints come standard. Infiniti’s Lane Departure Prevention system and Blind Spot Intervention system are designed to help you stay safe in your lane at all times.

The all-new 2011 Infiniti M37 incorporates a sleeker exterior, luxurious interior, tons of technology features with excellent power and handling, while providing one of the most impressive driving experiences to date.
