2009 Infiniti G37x Overview

The 2009 Infiniti G37x could only be described as alluring, dramatic, and seductive. Building on the overwhelming success of the gorgeous and powerful G35, the G37x adds even more power, a new design and advanced all-wheel drive.

The G37x is available in coupe and sedan forms and is essentially the G37 Journey trim with intelligent all-wheel drive. The G37x is powered by a 3.7-liter DOHC VVEL V-6 engine, unleashing 330-horsepower for the coupe, 328-horsepower for the sedan, and 270 pounds-feet of torque, which is over 30 horsepower mightier than the G35. A seven-speed automatic transmission with Adaptive Shift Control and manual shift mode with Downshift Rev Matching is available on the coupe.

The G37x comes with an advanced all-wheel drive system and self-healing paint so that you won’t have to sweat the small stuff.  The G37x gets 18 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway and competes with the BMW 3 Series, Mercedes C-Class and Lexus IS.

Interior amenities abound, with finished aluminum interior trim, leather-trimmed 8-way power driver’s seat, Fine Vision electroluminescent instrumentation, automatic temperature control, and a hand-stitched leather-wrapped steering wheel. The G37x incorporates the latest technology as well, with an Infiniti Intelligent Key with push-button ignition, vehicle information system with 7-inch color monitor, and six-speaker audio system with AM/FM, Radio Data System (RDS), CD player and MP3 playback. XM® Satellite Radio comes standard, and an auxiliary audio input jack can accommodate your iPod with ease.

Outside, HID bi-xenon headlights illuminate the night, while stylish 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels compliment the sleek coupe perfectly. With a low 0.30 coefficient of drag, aluminum wave hood, and zero-lift front aerodynamics, the car slices through the air with swiftness and dexterity.

Safety features abound with standard side-impact, side curtain, and dual-stage front air bags. An antilock braking system, electronic stability system, traction control and first-aid kit come standard as well. The preview braking function preloads the brakes for faster response if the car in front of you hits its brakes. Brake-operated pre-crash seat belts and a rearview camera are optional.

With power to spare, unique design, and abundant technological innovations, the 2009 Infiniti G37x Coupe is sure to provide effortless thrills and a dramatic driving experience.
