2012 Infiniti G37x Overview

Excellent power and all-world grip embody the well-balanced and undaunting 2012 G37x luxury sedan.

Powering the 2012 Infiniti G37x has a 328-horsepower, 2.5-liter V-6, which generates 269 pounds-feet of torque. The G37x is uses a seven-speed automatic transmission with Adaptive Shift Control and Drive Sport mode. The ‘x’ in G37x stands for ‘all-wheel drive’ and provides power and support where and when you need it, instantly adapting to the changing conditions of the road. The AWD system constantly monitors wheelspin and diverts up to 50 percent of the available power to the front wheels.

For a luxury performance sedan that gets over 300 hp and uses AWD, the 2012 Infiniti G37x receives impressive fuel economy with 18 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway. Competitors include the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Lexus IS, Audi A4, Cadillac CTS and BMW 3 Series.

The Infiniti G37x has the same curved hood and prominent grille as the rear-wheel drive version and features standard bi-functional xenon headlights, automatic on/off headlights, fog lights, LED rear brake lights, remote power-opening windows, dual power heated outside mirrors, dual chrome exhaust finishers and 17-inch, 5-spoke alloy wheels, while a moonroof is optional.

Infiniti’s by nature are refined automobiles and the trend continues with the G25x. Standard features abound and include leather seating, eight-way power driver’s seat, heated front seats, aluminum trim and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob. If you are a techie, you’ll love the G37x’s Bluetooth connectivity, USB port and iPod interface, XM Satellite Radio, six-speaker sound system electroluminescent gauges, auxiliary audio/video input jacks and a seven-inch color display. A 12-way power driver’s sport seat, aluminum pedals and a 10-speaker Bose premium sound system are optional.

As far as safety is concerned, the 2012 Infiniti G37x is stacked. Infiniti’s Advanced Air Bag System includes dual-stage front supplemental airbags with seat belt sensors, front seat-mounted side-impact airbags, roof-mounted curtain side-impact airbags, rear-seat outboard occupant head protection, front-seat active front head restraints, rearview monitor, electronic brake force distribution, brake assist, four-wheel antilock brakes, vehicle dynamic control with traction control and a tire pressure monitoring system.
