2011 INFINITI G37x Overview

Sporty handling is the name of the game for the sporty and luxurious 2011 Infiniti G37x sedan and coupe.

The 2011 G37x is available in coupe and sedan body styles and is essentially the G37 Journey trim, but with added intelligent all-wheel drive.  The G37x is powered by a 3.7-liter, 330-horsepower V-6 that is mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission with Adaptive Shift Control and manual shift mode—Downshift Rev Matching is available on the coupe.  What sets the G37x apart from other trims is its advanced all-wheel drive system, which gives you greater control and handling under any condition.  Fuel economy for the G37x is modest at 17-18 mpg in the city and 25-26 on the highway.  Competition for the 2010 Infiniti G37x includes the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Lexus IS, Audi A4, and Cadillac CTS.

The 2011 Infiniti G37x coupe is the recipient of new front styling where the fog lights have been moved from inside the headlights to the lower fascia.  Xenon headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels and Scratch Shield paint (new for 2011) are standard, while 18-inch alloy wheels and adaptive headlights that swivel in the direction of a turn are optional.

Inside, the 2011 G37x sedan seats five and features standard leather seats with eight-way power adjustments in the front, single-zone automatic climate control, and a six-speaker stereo system with MP3 jack.  An iPod-compatible 11-speaker Bose stereo, Bluetooth streaming audio, and moonroof are optional. The available 2.0 or 9.3 GB Music Box hard drive can be accessed by a USB port in the center armrest, and helps organize your audio files internally.  If the Music Box hard drive doesn't make an impression, then maybe the G37x’s seven-inch LCD touch-screen navigation system with Infiniti Voice Recognition, XM NavTraffic (which includes Real-Time Traffic info), Birdview 3-D graphics (which displays buildings from an aerial perspective), and Lane Guidance will.

A total of six airbags, antilock brakes, active front head restraints, traction control, and an electronic stability system come standard in the 2011 G37x.  The optional Intelligent Cruise Control automatically slows the G37x when it detects traffic so you can maintain a safe distance from the cars in front of you.

For nimble handling and an optimal driving experience with all the luxurious amenities and high-tech features one could want, the 2011 Infiniti G37x delivers on all fronts.
