2012 Infiniti G25x Overview
For the ultimate in affordability, handling and luxury, the 2012 Infiniti G25x can’t be beat.
The 2012 Infiniti G25x has a 218-horsepower, 2.5-liter V-6, which generates 187 pounds-feet of torque. The V-6 engine is paired to a seven-speed automatic transmission with Adaptive Shift Control and manual shift mode with Downshift Rev Matching. The all-wheel drive G25x is also available in a rear-wheel-drive version (the G25, reviewed separately) and comes equipped with all of the goodies of the upscale Journey trim. Infiniti’s Intelligent All-Wheel Drive provides power and support where and when you need it, instantly adapting to the changing conditions of the road. The AWD system constantly monitors wheelspin and diverts up to 50 percent of the available power to the front wheels.
For a luxury performance sedan, the 2012 Infiniti G25x receives impressive fuel economy with 19 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. Competitors include the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Lexus IS, Audi A4, Cadillac CTS and BMW 3 Series.
The Infiniti G25x has the same sleek frame as the rear-wheel drive version and features standard bi-functional xenon headlights, automatic on/off headlights, fog lights, LED rear brake lights, remote power-opening windows, dual power heated outside mirrors, dual chrome exhaust finishers and 17-inch, 5-spoke alloy wheels, while a moonroof is optional.
Infiniti’s by nature are refined automobiles and the trend continues with the G25x. Standard features abound and include leather seating, eight-way power driver’s eat, heated front seats, aluminum trim and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob. If you are a techie, you’ll love the G25x’s Bluetooth connectivity, USB port and iPod interface, XM Satellite Radio, six-speaker sound system electroluminescent gauges, auxiliary audio/video input jacks and a seven-inch color display.
When it comes to safety, the 2012 Infiniti G25x is stacked. Infiniti’s Advanced Air Bag System includes dual-stage front supplemental airbags with seat belt sensors, front seat-mounted side-impact airbags, roof-mounted curtain side-impact airbags, rear-seat outboard occupant head protection, front-seat active front head restraints, rearview monitor, electronic brake force distribution, brake assist, four-wheel antilock brakes, vehicle dynamic control with traction control and a tire pressure monitoring system.
You’ll never see a twist in the road that you can’t handle as long as you’re in the 2012 Infiniti G25x.
