2011 Infiniti G25 Overview
With a new entry in the luxury sedan segment, Infiniti proves that the possibilities are endless with the all-new 2011 Infiniti G25 sedan.
The 2011 G25 sedan slots in right under the G37 in Infiniti’s lineup, and boasts a 218-horsepower, 2.5-liter V-6 that is mated to a seven-speed automatic with Adaptive Shift Control and Drive Sport mode. Manual shift mode and Downshift Rev Matching add more control and provide a smoother ride. Fuel economy ratings are 20 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway and the 2011 G25 competes with the BMW 3 Series, Lexus IS, Audi A4, Cadillac CTS, and Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
The 2011 Infiniti G25’s base model takes the place of last year’s G37 base trim, which has been discontinued. There are three trims under the G25 umbrella: base, Journey and the all-wheel-drive G25x (which has its own review). Both the base and Journey trims receive high intensity discharge xenon headlights, fog lights, LED rear brake lights, dual power outside mirrors, speed-sensing flat-blade variable windshield wipers, 17-inch, triple 5-spoke aluminum-alloy wheels, and dual chrome exhaust pipes. The Journey adds automatic headlights, remote windows, and heated outside mirrors, while a power sliding tinted glass moonroof is available.
Once inside the 2011 Infiniti G25 sedan, both trims receive leather-appointed seating, an 8-way power driver’s seat with lumbar support, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, push button start, steering wheel-mounted controls, electroluminescent gauges, and a 7-inch WVGA color display. The Journey adds an 8-way power front-passenger’s seat, heated front seats, dual zone climate control, a USB/iPod interface, Bluetooth® connectivity, and an auto-dimming mirror with HomeLink Universal Transceiver.
When it comes to safety, the 2011 Infiniti G25 sedan features 4-wheel antilock brakes with electronic brake force distribution, electronic stability and traction control, and zone body construction with a reinforced passenger compartment. Infiniti’s Advanced Air Bag System features dual-stage front supplemental air bags with seat belt and occupant-classification sensors that adjust their inflation depending on crash severity and seat belt usage. Driver and front-passenger side-impact and roof-mounted curtain side-impact air bags for the front and rear seats are also included. A rearview camera is optional.
The all-new 2011 Infiniti G25 sedan has finally arrived, providing a touch of refinement and luxury along with world-class safety.
