2010 Infiniti FX35 Overview
Offering an infinite number of possibilities, the 2010 Infiniti FX35 midsize luxury SUV delivers an uncompromising combination of power, performance and utility.
The Infiniti FX35 was completely redesigned in 2009 to add more power and high-tech features. Available in standard rear-wheel-drive or optional all-wheel-drive configurations, the sporty 2010 Infiniti FX35 is equipped with a 303-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 engine mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission with auto-manual mode, while the FX50 is powered by a 390-horsepower V-8 and offers standard all-wheel drive. EPA estimated fuel economy ratings are 16 mpg in the city and between 21-23 mpg on the highway and the all-wheel-drive version can tow up to 2,000 pounds.
With stiff competition from the likes of Lexus RX 350 and Mercedes-Benz M-Class in the midsize luxury SUV segment, the 2010 Infiniti FX35 adds new standard technologies, including Bluetooth cell phone connectivity, a USB port with an MP3 interface, navigation system and a Bose audio system. Options include an around view monitor system, which utilizes several cameras for a bird's-eye view of the SUV's perimeter, a lane departure prevention system and scratch shield paint.
The exterior offers standard bi-xenon headlights and functional side air vents and, for the FX50, an optional electronically adaptive suspension, which automatically adapts to changing road conditions, and rear active steer, which enhances turning precision. The inside is adorned in leather with power front seats and a reclining rear seat, dual-zone climate control and optional heated/cooled front seats. Maximum cargo capacity is 62 cubic feet with rear seats stowed.
The 2010 Infiniti FX35 is equipped with a suite of active and passive standard safety technologies, which helped it achieve a perfect five stars from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for frontal- and side-impact collisions. These technologies include active head restraints, side-impact airbags for the front seats, side-curtain airbags for both rows, traction control, an electronic stability system and four-wheel-disc antilock brakes. Adaptive cruise control and a forward-warning system, which applies the brakes in the event of an impending collision, are optional.
The 2010 Infiniti FX35 midsize luxury SUV is loaded with high-tech interior features and packs plenty of power for the performance-minded driver.
