Description/Duties:

We are a growing leader in the automotive online marketing space and are looking for a Search Engine Marketing Assistant to assist in creating, tracking, analyzing and optimizing paid search campaigns. This position will utilize successful bidding strategies and effective keyword management on various search engines (Google, Yahoo!, MSN, etc). The successful candidate will actively test and analyze keywords, ad copy, and landing pages to fulfill ROI and volume expectations.

  • Setup, create and execute online paid search campaigns with varied goals and objectives
  • Research automotive demographics and apply findings to refine campaign targeting
  • Expand keyword portfolio(s) to address changes in consumer behavior and the ever-changing landscape of automotive industry
  • Analyze and optimize results, identify trends and help achieve in-house and client goals
  • Write relevant and compelling copy that resonates with consumers
  • Reporting to work on site and on time, on a daily basis is an essential function of the job

Location of Santa Monica Office (Google Maps)

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel in particular
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Exceptional analytical skills
  • Ability to write compelling and concise ad copy
  • Knowledge of the search landscape, engines and tools
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Some knowledge of automotive industry preferred

 

Requirements:

  • The position requires strong written and oral communication skills, a passion for analytics, an understanding of the search and online advertising space (some knowledge of automotive industry a definite plus)
  • The successful candidate must exhibit ability to multitask and thrive in a flexible team environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing, communications or related field
  • 1-2 years paid search management experience preferred
