2009 Hyundai Veracruz Overview

Not much has changed with the 2009 Veracruz, especially when it comes to the engine. The Veracruz is powered by a 3.8-liter, 260-horsepower V-6, which is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. An available backup warning system uses sensors in the rear bumper to assist with parking maneuvers.

With six standard airbags, including dual front airbags, dual front seat-mounted side-impact airbags, and dual roof-mounted side-curtain airbags, all three rows of passengers are protected in a collision. Standard 4-wheel disc anti-lock brakes with Electronic Brake-force Distribution and Brake Assist help to prevent lockup during hard braking and maintain control on slippery roads. Electronic Stability Control with Traction Control is standard, helping to maintain vehicle stability during evasive maneuvers and reducing wheelspin under acceleration.
