With respect to horsepower, the Hyundai Santa Fe packs quite a punch and will knock the Saturn VUE Hybrid down a few rungs. On the flip side, note that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Handling
With its tighter turning circle, the Hyundai Santa Fe is most certainly nimbler than the Saturn VUE Hybrid, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; on the flip side, remember that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The Saturn VUE Hybrid's engine is somewhat smaller than the Hyundai Santa Fe's, but not terribly so. Torque is the force that lets you accelerate quickly, and in this respect, the Hyundai isn't much more powerful than the VUE Hybrid. The Hyundai Santa Fe will cost you a lots_of_money in gasoline every year compared to the Saturn. The basic warranty that comes with the VUE Hybrid isn't quite as generous as the Hyundai Santa Fe's.
