When it comes to horsepower, the Hyundai packs quite a punch and will knock the Nissan Rogue down a few rungs. On the other hand, keep in mind that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Drivetrain
The Nissan Rogue's engine is a bit smaller than the Hyundai's, but not terribly so.

Utility
Drivers with frequent kid-duty might favor the Santa Fe over the Nissan Rogue. Towing is substantially more the Hyundai Santa Fe's forte than it is the Nissan's.

Convenience
You definitely won't have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the Nissan Rogue than with the Hyundai Santa Fe, as both offer comparable ranges.

While the front cabin in the Nissan Rogue offers a bit more head room than the Hyundai Santa Fe, there frankly isn't much of a difference. The Hyundai offers more head- and leg-room to your passengers than the Rogue does.

Dimensions
Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Hyundai Santa Fe than the Nissan Rogue because of its bigger tank. The Nissan Rogue and the Hyundai Santa Fe compete for the same parking spaces.

The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs approximately the same to get the Hyundai to the dealership as the Rogue. When it comes to gas mileage, the Nissan Rogue has the Hyundai Santa Fe beat. There really isn't much of a difference in gas mileage here, but if you must know, the Nissan Rogue is a tad more economical than the Hyundai Santa Fe. When it comes to MSRP, the Hyundai costs significantly more than the Nissan Rogue.

The basic warranty that comes with the Nissan isn't quite as generous as the Hyundai's.
